The confidentiality of client information is of utmost importance to the Survivor Resource Network. Therefore, the agency fully complies with all of the standard requirements regarding privacy and confidentiality that are required by federal and state statutes.
Personal Information Defined
SRN will protect the confidentiality and privacy of all Case Records and Personal Identifiable Information (PII) of any individual who is residing or has resided at Laura House or Peachtree Landing Emergency Shelters or who has otherwise utilized or is utilizing the services of any SRN agency or program.
PII is any data connected to an individual that could be used to uncover their identity or location. This information can be, but not limited to: full names and maiden names, addresses, phone numbers, place of birth, date of birth, other geographical details, or race and ethnicity.
Case records, otherwise known as client records, can include case notes, assessments, correspondence, or other administrative forms that are collected during the course of a client receiving services.
These records also include any documentation created from the use of digital services. Digital services are defined as Facebook, Instagram, SMS messaging or contact forms on any Survivor Resource Network website or SRN affiliated websites. If at any time, a digital service user feels that their safety or privacy may be compromised due their use of these services, the interaction can be escalated to phone-based services.
